Between November 20 and November 28, 2024 a delegation of the Udmurt State University consisting of Maria I. Beznosova, Head of the International Relations Office, Ekaterina S. Gorbunova, Director of the Center for International Education, Ludmila A. Zakharova, senior Lecturer of the UdSU Institute of Arts and Design together with Lulgur folklore ensemble of the Udmurt Culture Center from Karamas-Pelga visited Uzbekistan.
The visit aims to present and promote the Udmurt State University, the Udmurt culture and is dedicated to the Day of the Udmurt Language (celebrated annually on November 27) and to the Statehood Day of the Udmurt Republic (celebrated on November 4 every year). The UdSU delegation also had a few meetings with school children in Tashkent, Samarkand and Bukhara.
The Udmurt culture was presented through implementation of the joint project "Commonwealth of Arts" in Samarkand. The project, initiated and realized by UdSU and Samarkand State University, started online in October and included presentations, master classes, Olympiads, contests and other educational and cultural events.
Thanks to the above events held online and offline, students and schoolchildren in Uzbekistan studied the peculiarities of the Russian and Udmurt arts and crafts, musical and dance traditions, learned about the life of modern youth in the regions of Russia, made traditional ethnic souvenirs. UdSU students also had the opportunity to study the history of Uzbek art and apply this knowledge to their academic projects.Источник
